< Text Painting >

Description :
This work is a prototype of LED display for Text painting, inspired by Jim Campbell. A painting canvas which has a rectangular shape would be hung on the wall. This canvas is composed of one hundred LEDs matrix and connected to the web page, which is programmed to be accessible anywhere, anytime. Users use this web page to search for any word they want to find (or to enter some texts). The user¡¯s action will modify the image of LED shape in real time base. Each LED on canvas corresponds to a character of the text. Through the embedded microcontroller, the text input will control the brightness of each LED and screen. Users can make their own paintings with words. Each painting also interacts with other people¡¯s input. Through the LED painting, we can see shapes shifting one by one, according to the users¡¯ text input.

User Scenario
Users can make their own paintings with words. Each painting also interacts with other people¡¯s input. Through the LED painting, a user can see shapes shifting one by one, according to the his/ her text input. (Users can type the word which they want to find, see the result through the LED display ).
