The idea arose, inspired by Jim Campbell. Last week when I was thinking
to the networked objects final project, I recall to me his works
again. I would like to learn how to control brightness of LEDs and
combine that with my networked objects as a first trial. I will
make a text box from HTML page as an interface to intrigue user
interaction. Whatever words comes in, it will be searched through
the searching engine and send the searching result data to the micrcontroller.
Then, microcontroller will transform the result of that text¡¯s
ascii values and display the result by LED brightness. So I am going
to make a ten by ten LEDs matrix as my output. It would be the challenging
work, but I am excited.

I decide to this work with JungEun and Jia. JungEun will help physical
design and network part and Jia will help web interface coding part.
Wish to be a great team!

DESCRIBE YOUR PROJECT IN DETAIL:
1.Title: Text Painting
2.Structure : A painting canvas which has a rectangular shape would
be hung on the wall. This canvas is composed by two thousand LEDs
matrix and connected to the web page which is programmed to be accessible
anywhere, anytime. Users use this web page to search any word they
want to find (or put some texts they want to write). User¡¯s action
will modify image of LED shape in real time base. Each LED on canvas
presents each character of the text. Through the embedded microcontroller,
the text input will control the brightness of each LED. So Users
can make their own painting with their own word. Each painting also
interacts with other people¡¯s input. Through LED painting we can
see shapes shifting one by one.
